Civic & local governance
Hands-on experience in municipal finance, DTC leadership, and civic volunteer recruitment.
CT Innovates was built at the intersection of civic leadership, technology, and applied AI with a belief that AI should serve the public good by strengthening human judgment, accountability, and local leadership, not replacing them.

CT Innovates founders
CT Innovates was founded by Chris Bryant, a thirty-year technology entrepreneur who is also an elected civic official in Weston, Connecticut. He is joined by co-founder Eric Thorsen, whose software firm spent three decades building the analytics behind live election coverage.
That combination shapes CT Innovates’ approach to civic intelligence: using AI to turn meetings, records, community input, and recurring responsibilities into reliable work, grounded in trusted sources, repeatable workflows, human review, and clear accountability.
Hands-on experience in municipal finance, DTC leadership, and civic volunteer recruitment.
Three decades of technology entrepreneurship, product development, AI application, and management consulting.
AI curriculum design and instruction, including university continuing-education programs.
That is why the guardrails come first. Sources must be clear, uncertainty visible, sensitive information protected, and accountable people, not software, must make the judgments.
AI prepares the work. Accountable humans verify, approve, decide, and own it.
That is not a constraint. It is the point.
Bring one public or approved document. In a 30-minute Capacity Preview, we’ll use it to demonstrate one practical workflow and show what useful, human-reviewed work it could become.
